I am trying to solve this problem for a while but still can not solve. So I moved to US from South Korea with a router from LG (yes old, Korean one). It was fine for years, and about like an 8 months ago, I moved to a new house. I had Time Warner Cable since the beginning and first about 5 months or so were fine. but all the sudden, my wifi is getting disconnected like every 20 minutes or so. I asked Time Warner for some help and they told me to type some of the command prompt (assuming something was wrong here) and when they came to my house, they did not have any particular solution but router (which I highly doubt). How can I check the problem and how can I solve the problem?

Solution
My guess is your old wireless router is ready for retiring - - you've had it for some time so it owes you nothing, but after a period of years they all start glitching on the wireless side in my experience, especially the cheaper ones.

If the wifi goes out but not wired access, it most likely is the router's aging wifi that is the problem. Buy a new router, if that solves the problem, then you are done. Even the cheapest router will be better than regular wifi disconnects from a formerly great router. If it doesn't solve the problem, return it to the store. Stores have return policies to encourage you to try out the merchandise.
