Hi....
I am looking for a GPU which suits the REQUIREMENT for my Corsair VS450 PSU. I have shortlisted a few choices

AMD R7 260x
AMD R7 265
AMD R9 270
Nvidia GTX 960
Nvidia GTX 750 Ti

I need help on choosing the GPU for my PSU

Thanks in Advance :)

My Specs
AMD FX 6300
8GB RAM
450W PSU
ASUS MB

Solution
Most sources recommend a minimum of a 450w PSU for the two R7 cards so they should work if you're set on getting an AMD card. I believe that the 950 benchmarks slightly better than the AMD cards in most games and it draws less power which is why I recommended it.

Personally I would go with the Nvidia 950 TI over the 750, a 960 is listed as working with a 450 but that is pretty close to the minimum and you're running an AMD CPU. I've run a 960 with an i3 and a 500w PSU with absolutely no problems at all but the TDP of that CPU is close to double of the i3.

I would recommend the GeForce GTX 960 as it is one hell of a powerful card for its size and price tag. It also only requires a 400w PSU.

or the overclocked version which has 2GB more VRAM

The R7 265 has a 256 bit Memory Bandwidth whereas the GTX 950 has a 128 bit Bandwidth....Does it matter???

It matters but not so much at 1080p and neither card is capable of great gaming performance at a higher resolution anyway. The 960 uses a compression technique to get more out of the 128bit but it doesn't totally compensate and the bandwidth is one of the weaknesses of the card. The bottom line is that on any benchmark I can find the 960 outperforms the R7 265 so if you have the budget and considering the restrictions of your PSU the 960 will give you better performance. If you want an AMD and can afford it then I suggest you budget for a PSU and an R9 380.
