Hard Disk dont recognize in Bios and Disk Managment

when i was formatting my pc , i accidentally press the reset button and suddenly my pc cant recognize my hard disk anymore both on bios and diskmanagement (i put in on another computer) ,,, someone help if i can recover my new hard disk

Yeah, if the drive is not recognized by BIOS and Disk Management on two machines, then the drive has failed. So, you can RMA it if it is under warranty.

Hi there lordah,

I would totally agree with hang-the-9.

In case your HDD is not recognized by BIOS, you will not be able to access it with software tools.
One thing you can try is to double check the connection. You can use different cables(both SATA and power ones) and attach it to another SATA port.
In case the issue persists and the drive is a new one, I believe you can either contact the place you got it from or the manufacturer's Support.

tnx ,man,,, but i think my system board is ok,,,, i actually my hard drive on different pc but same thing happens,,,, i cant see it in device management,,,
really tnx for the help ^_^

i really did that man,,, i put it in different pc units but cant see it on device management,,,
and man do u think the warranty for my hard drive will cover it,,, this is a new hard disk,, damn i really streesed from this happening,..

man what do u mean by usb drive? do u mean an external drive?

Not the computer motherboard, I meant the system board on the hard drive.

ah okay man,,,, tnx,,,,, i can see my hd when i plug my bootable os and select browse driver,,, but it became boot()x: and i cant format it,,,

i tried another hard disk to format but it happen again ,,,,, while on formatting my pc said that the device can be found, please specified a device,,, means it cant read my hd again... is it my motherboard?

That is really strange. As your previous HDD was doing the same thing even when attached to another system, then there should have been something wrong with the HDD.

Have you tried using different cables(both SATA and power ones)? It may be a good idea to try that. Also, you can use another port.
Check if it is recognized and how under Disk Management, Device Manager and BIOS.(when using different cables and ports)
