Textures loading after 3-4 seconds?

hello guys i noticed than in some games the texture loads after 3-4 seconds but then its okay what could cause this?
HDD 500 gb
4gb ram ddr3 1600 mhz single channel
gtx 960 4gb
i5 4690

Your hard drive in all likelihood. Do map loads take a long time?

Perfectly normal for games to do this, particularly after a settings change. Depending on the game (which you should mention by the way) it may be necessary to clear the game's cache. Every once in a while something gets corrupt in there and will cause a live re-initialization at the start of a match.

Memory latency isn't that big a deal. Only having 4GB, if that is accurate, is more of a problem.

Formatting it and freeing up space will only do so much. You are better off purchasing an SSD and putting anything you want to run smoothly on it.

do you believe an upgrade to dual channel 8 gb will fix the stuters and fps drops in those games too? as im also experiencing them with my gtx 960 and i dont believe its the card itself when i upgrade to 8 ill format my drives and ill see if it fixes
