I am thinking about building my first PC soon. It suppose it would be used as an "office" PC. There would be no gaming done on it, just browsing the web, watching some YouTube videos, etc. The list of parts for my build is nearly finalized. I'm pretty sure on all of the parts, except the motherboard. At first I picked out a Gigabyte motherboard because they aren't overpriced compared to others, and I thought it was a pretty good, reliable brand of motherboard . Now, after reading some other questions (and answers), I am not so sure on how good Gigabyte, Asus, AsRock, MSI are? I think I would like the motherboard to have dual-channel memory (because that would make it quite a bit faster right?) and it has to be an LGA1151 MicroATX. I probably wouldn't do any overclocking... THANKS!!

If you want an "office" PC, go for a cheap but reliable board. Also, although Samsung makes highest quality SSDs, they are overpriced at this point so buying a larger SSD for the same price may be a good idea:

That board only has single channel memory, and it doesn't have VGA or DVI-D ports which (I think) is all our current monitor has. Also, what programs (besides the OS) should you put on a SSD? Things like firefox, and really any programs?

1. It IS dual channel.
2. It has HDMI - more modern output.
3. You can use an HDMI to DVI adapter.
4. Yes, you put all the programs you want on the SSD. Have you ever used a computer before? :)
