I installed an automatic windows update one night, and woke up the next day to a slow computer. I have a Intel I5 Quad Core CPU, 8GB Ram, and a GTX 960 GPU. I used to be able to run WoW at around 300 FPS no cap, but now it caps out at 20, and goes to unplayable amounts when in combat. I've tried everything I've read, Disk Check, Memtest86, Checked the Heat, scanned my computer twice for viruses, and adware, Defragged my disk, turn off all starting programs, and made sure that all the parts of my PC were properly connected. I tried to open in safe mode, and it seemed good from there, but there wasn't really a way I could tell for sure since I couldn't open any of my games. I'm completely lost, and bummed out. I have no idea what to do at this point. Thank you.

Do a system restore to a point before this started. Next time you see the Windows update prompt, open it and look at the details, not what is installed and see if it causes the same thing. Then you can try to install the updates one at a time and see which one of those causes the issue.

I tried that, but the update deleted all of my restore points. I think that it may be Hard Drive failure, because even though HDD check said nothing is wrong, my WoW takes up 2.6mb of disk, and the overall disk usage is at 100%.
