I have question about grounding myself for pc. I already have a fully built (not pre-built) computer and i want to make some changes to it. I have a anti-static wrist band but i am not sure how to use them. I have found few questions regarding grounding for pc but those were for people who are building computers from scratch. So, I'm wondering if I can plug my power supply, turn the power supply off and attach the alligator clip of anti-wrist band on the power supply. Would this work?

(I live in a country that is very dry and I have fried my laptop before so i really want to make every step to ascertain myself that there won't be any risk of frying my computer)

Thanks

How did you fry your laptop?
Just touch the case after you move around, especially on thick carpeting. Try to handle the gear with the edges, dont put your paws all over the circuitry.
You dont have to worry about anti static wrist straps.
