Hey guys.
I think it's about time I upgrade my Gigabyte GTX 770, but to what??
I struggle to keep up with all the new 2015-2016 technology's out there, so I hope you can help me...

I am a gamer and hobby livestreamer + i dabble a bit with Abode Photoshop.
When i play, I run games on one monitor and stream software, internet browsers, teamspeak ect. on the other. I might add a 3rd, but keep gaming on one monitor.

  • Monitor: 2 x 24" (both 1920x1080).
CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K Devils Canyon (stock fan).
    Motherboard: MSI Z97 GAMING 5.
    PSU: Corsair CX750 750W.
RAM: 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3-1866.
Games: The Division, GTA 5, BF4, Minecraft.
All sorts of questions pop up.
Should I just go with 2 x GTX 770 (2GB) SLI, do I have enough cooling for that, should I upgrade to a GTX 970 or GTX 980, and what is this RADEON R9 390 I just heard about?

In other words...HELP!!1! xD

Solution
Although I would say SLI at this point but it's not going to be helpful as the cards only use 2GB
I would say get the R9 390 because of the price to performance unless nvidia makes you happy

Thank you for your answers. I think I'll go with a Sapphire Radeon R9 390 8GB GDDR5 NITRO, because I really want a 4GB (or more) GPU.
My GTX 770 should be very sell-able, so the price for an upgrade like this should not be that high, I guess :)

Yea it wont be a huge jump for you. Overclock your 770 and hold out unless youre just itching to get something new. The key to gpu upgrades is every 2 generations. Since youre on kepler maxwell/390 is only 1 generation above where you are now. Pascal would be the smarter move. Also trash that stock cooler before if ruins your cpu. At the very leasy get a hyper 212 evo. Your cpu will love you

Thank you for your insight.
Looking at the specs and price people expect for Pascal I'll wait until I can get my hands on one of those :D
