What is actually happening to my computer, when i start it up the LED light to my fan Turns on just for a split second immediately, i've unplugged my GPU to see if it were my PSU but I don't think it made a difference. Could some parts of the Computer be "Fried" ?

I cleaned the computer (before it was broken) taking all the PSU cords out and cleaned it out with a brush. I put it all back together then it didn't work... Could this be the PSU or motherboard?.

And another thing my friend accidentally Leaned on the mother board? not sure if that would've caused anything?.

Solution

It now works. i might have done something wrong but the paper clip method works!

There are a few things that could have happened. My immediate impulse when I saw the title was that your power supply was failing you, but after reading your description I'm pretty sure your friend either messed up your Motherboard by leaning on it, you didn't put all the chords back into the right places. Or both.

I did try the "Paper clip method" but it didn't work, no fans turned on. Could this be the PSU?

My Mobo uses AM3+ and i bought a AMD FX-6300 6 Core Black Edition Processor that should be right shouldn't it?

If you've done the clip test & no power then yes its 99.999999% likely the psu.
Do you have any molex case fans you can plug into it for testing?

You 100% have the front panel case connectors wired right??
As mixing up power reset & power sw would have the same effect.

I do indeed have a molex case fan that i could use for testing.
I read the booklet that i received from the mobo and followed its steps for the panel case connectors. Could i try switching over the Power Reset & Power SW?

Do you need an actual paper clip?

When i turn on the PC it shows only the LED light and fans turn on, but if i take out the GPU (GPU lights are on When installed) The Hard Drive Light turns on would this be the PSU failing?

Also could i Borrow a PSU from a friend or would it get damaged? ( just to test things)
