Where can I buy Power On/Reset buttons and plugs/cables to make my own PC Case in the UK?

Greetings!

I am planning on making a small form factor wooden PC case for a multimedia/gaming rig. I looked on Ebay and Amazon but I could only find power on/reset buttons that were designed to be used temporarily for troubleshooting or to fix a broken cable. They weren't designed for permanent use like I want to do. Where can I buy these cables and buttons? What should I type into google for their name so I know what to look for? Should I just buy a "cheap-as-chips" PC case for 10 quid or something and dismantle it instead? I want to avoid buying that if possible but it might be easier. I don't know if that is safe though to tear apart a premade case to make my own one.

Many thanks in advance!!

You are welcome. The nice thing about the power button I linked to is that it has the customary LED's for power on, hdd activity, etc. Plus it has a rather long cord so you can have it right up on your desk making it easy to power on your PC. Good luck with your build!

If I use Power cables that do not have a button but have one of those square switches can I make my own wooden button? I will probably use the one you posted since it is already done but then I would have no way to attach it to the PC Case. Many thanks in advance!

That is a good idea! But I will use a different one and make my own buttons and attach it somehow. Would regular wood glue suffice for wooden buttons you think?

If need be, you can make your own start + reset buttons. Just get a pair of regular ones off ebay for cheap:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PC-ATX-Personal-Computer-Power-On-Off-Reset-I-O-Button-Lead-Cable-Cord-Adaptor-/171884068020?hash=item280516bcb4:m:mO-VXTHVtPpCILsDhBfcgCA

Cut off the button that's soldered on, and solder in a momentary switch of your choice:

To make the button glow you can get a Molex - SATA adapter, cut off the SATA header + the red and left black wires, then solder the yellow and remaining black wire to the LED power poles on the button:

I can't solder anything unfortunately cause I don't have the tools. I will look around some more and do some research.
