What router should I buy for what I want to do.

Hi so I'm planning on buying a new router sometime soon. The current router I have now can handle YouTube videos and online gaming. I was wondering how expensive is a router that can handle streaming basketball games and playing online video games at the same time, and if you know please link them. Thankyou.

My old linksys EA3500 will, in fact im sure most modern routers would be able to no problem. Your ability to game and stream a basketball game at the same time is mostly determined by the speed and bandwidth of your internet not your router.

On most modestly priced AC router, the wifi will be able to handle it. So should a faster dual band N router, however for all but the most price sensitive, AC seems to be the best deal. Streaming video quality will depend more on the configuration of the receiving TV or computer.
