Hello guys,I was looking for an under-$500 build. So i stumbled upon the Best PC Builds of 2016.I don't know much about building rigs and this is my first time so i really didn't have any idea.I found darkbreeze's SKSG build fitting my budget and decided to go with it.The problem is I can't find the motherboard and the hard disk chosen by darkbreeze.I would really appreciate if someone can advice me an alternative for the given motherboard and hard disk. And the case too actually, because this build is kind of overshooting my budget so if I there is a cheap case(if its not compromising the performance) please let me know. Thanks :)

Solution
I have no concerns that it won't support it. The Vishera FX CPUs were released before that motherboard model was, unlike some other 970 series motherboard models, so there is virtually no chance that it won't be supported.
Mustafa, have you bought anything yet, what country are you in and exactly what components do you need to complete the build. In other words, do you currently have any parts that are worth reusing, or a keyboard, mouse, monitor, operating system, etc.?

I live in India and I haven't bought anything yet.I already have a PC at home so I have Windows 8.1,4gb Ram,500gb hard drive, keyboard, mouse and display and can be reused.I just need to rebuild the cpu unit. Also my current case is small, maybe mini ATX.Originally I had a GeForce 8600 GT in it.

Also I took a look at this GPU

Asus GTX960 Black OC Edition - PCI Express Graphics Card ( 2GB GDDR5, 128-Bit, Core Clock 1279 MHz : Boost Clock 1342 MHz) -GTX960-DC2OC-2GD5-BLACK.
Same price as the one you included in your build.

Is this better than it??

And these cases

-Corsair CC-9011051-WW Carbide Series SPEC-02 Steel Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case (Black)
-Corsair CC-9011050-WW Carbide Series SPEC-01 Steel Red LED Mid-Tower Gaming Case (Black)
-Cooler Master K380 / Window / USB 3.0

These are a lil more cheaper than the Enermax :)

Ok, so you're in luck. With windows 8.1 you CAN move the OS to another motherboard/system. Windows 7 and 10 TECHNICALLY are not allowed to do that, although in most cases a simple help desk chat with Microsoft allows it to be done. You will however want to create new installation media and do a clean install once you have the new system built and ready to use. Reusing the operating system installation from a previous build, especially if it's a different platform, but even when it's not, is highly discouraged because it tends to bring problems along with it.

Being in India, I'm not sure that the budgetary restrictions are going to allow you to build a similar system with a similar investment as what you could do for the SKSG build in the states or UK, but you probably already know that. For you, in regard to the motherboard alone, this seems to be the least expensive, and just about only, FM2+ board I can find available in your region.

For you, it might be better to do something like this, and is probably a better overall performing option anyhow:

Yes, that GPU card you listed should be ok as should either of the Carbide series cases.

Sorry I'm repeating this again, I stumbled upon this card
- ASUS STRIX_GTX960_DCUII_2GB
and did some research. It looks amazing and its just $2 more than the Asus GTX 960 2gb I told you earlier about.
Should I go for it?

And here is the build.I've taken FX 6300 instead of FX 4300 because it isn't much expensive. Will it have any noticeable boost or should I stick with the FX 4300?

Though it does show a compatibility issue : "Some AMD 970 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Vishera CPUs."

I haven't included Hard disk,DVD drive and other stuff because I'm gonna reuse them. :)

If you can afford the 6 core rather than the 4 core, then you're probably better off with that. Definitely much better than the X4 860k.

Unless you get a VERY old board, that has been sitting on a warehouse shelf since shortly after that motherboard model was released, it will already have the necessary bios version needed to run that CPU. If it doesn't, then it could be a problem unless you know somebody with an older compatible chip. Since that board was released AFTER the Vishera CPUs were released, I see no chance that it won't be supported.

Yes, the Strix is a better card. Better still would be if you can afford a 4GB model, but the Strix is a really good card that sits just above entry level cards like the 750TI and 950. Roughly equivalent to the R9 285 or R9 380.

The 4gb version is kinda out of my budget so I guess I'm gonna stick to the 2gb one.And I have absolutely no clue if MSI 970 Gaming is going to support the FX 6300 but I read a few threads here and most of the people say you don't need to do any BIOS stuff and that it supports the CPU "out of the box". Honestly I don't know much about this so I have no idea what to do if it doesn't "support" it.

Everything looks good except the Corsair CX500w builder series power supply. My advice would be to avoid that unit or any of the Corsair CX, CS, VS or RM models if you're going to be using it with a gaming card. They tend to have premature capacitor failures under the heat of high duty cycle operation and when you pair that with the tendency for already high ambient temperatures where you are, it almost certainly escalates the potential for that.

I'd try very hard to stick to Tier 1 or 2 units, not by brand name, but by model number, as any brand can have very good AND very bad units, even within the same series.
