Prime95 ERROR:ILLEGAL SUMOUT what is the most likely cause?

Ok, so When my friends FX chip is OC at +400Mhz speed, its fine, 24 hour prime95 stable, but when I tried to push it to +500mhz, prime95 almost immediately stops for 2 cores and says ILLEGAL SUMOUT and the other 2 cores are fine for a few minutes, but I haven't seen past 5 min, because of the first 2 warnings. Nothing has been touched but the multiplier and a slight increase in voltage. Turbo boost is off, but some other power saving features are still on, since the computer is idled sometimes. Temps don't go over 65 C under load. What could be the cause?

Yeah till you have the new cooler you really can't do too much. Once you get the new cooler installed let us know how much your overclocking and or temps improve. Best of luck to you..

Oh by the way it's capping at 4.3. I'll try the test joex444 brought up, but otherwise it shouldn't bee capped at 4.3 right, I mean 4.6 is more reasonable. And he is getting a new cryorig h7 by next week too, I'll see if that helps. Also I meant max temp is 65, but gaming it is under 60. Only extreme tests make it go 65.

Other things that make a big difference is what motherboard you are using as the VRM setup makes a huge difference is how high you can clock. What motherboard are you using? How are the VRM temps? I hope that new cooler helps.
