Is Creative getting rid of THX audio capability on their sound cards? What is the difference between THX and SBX?

I am looking at replacing my damaged Creative X-Fi Titanium HD Pro sound card this summer. It was connected to a THX-certified Logitech Z-623 speaker system. When I asked Creative Labs about a possible repair or replacement service for the card, they said that my card's model had been discontinued. I also noticed that multiple sound cards that use to be THX-certified now have SBX instead. Is Creative phasing out THX capability from their sound card inventory? What is the difference between SBX and THX?

Thanks.

THX isn't really a capability so much as it is a standard. For creative they need to pay to have that standard and market their devices with it, and I would assume they felt they weren't getting their money's worth (or they are cheaping out).

SBX is just their version of the standard for output. Its very likely close to the same thing.

That said I have a Titanium HD as well, and would cry if it broke as IMO Creative no longer puts out a product that is as good.
