Hi:

I don't know where to post this questions so I'll try here.

I have an HP Pavilion 27st all-in-one. It has a built in Ultra slim Blu-Ray Combo Player. The player often freezes and says it can't find the disc I inserted. It uses the Cyber Link Power Media Player which gets lots of complaints on the net.

I connected my stand-alone Blu-ray player using HDMI out to the HDMI in on the PC. The DVD I inserted is playing on the DVD playing but I have no idea how to display it on the monitor. Where do devices that are plugged into the HDMI input appear on the computer? I appreciate any help.

Thanks.

No. If you want to watch it on your computer you will need to use that bluray player (or another one if you want to buy one) and the Cyberlink software.

Thanks for the response.

When you say I can buy another one do you mean another built-in one like the one I have?

Is there no way to buy a stand alone DVD player (maybe an old one without hdmi) that could be connected using a USB input on the PC? I don't need to play Blu-ray.

Thanks.
