Sager np2740 laptop. Bought this a while back because people mentioned its i7 quadcore. When i first got it, it seemed good but i didn't play online poker yet with it. When i started playing poker with it, i connected it to external monitor.

After just a bit, my battery went bad. Had the Red X that says to replace battery and that wasn't long ago after i got my laptop. I then got a replacement battery and had to go to a repair shop to install it. My battery is inside the laptop and very hard to put in due to requiring unscrewing at least 20 screws. The laptop worked okay afterwards for a bit but i noticed the battery was not like it was when i first got laptop brand new. Basically this new replacement which was very expensive for sager and brand new... it wasn't as good as the first battery i got.

Well just after getting the battery for a bit, i got the same Red X logo on my battery and thus my battery is no longer good and need replacing. So basically i have to connect charger all the time since i get at most 20 minutes on battery. I don't think i want to even buy a new battery since it cost a lot and the last one i bought lasted very little that its not even worth it. Think there is something faulty about my laptop or the battery.

Well recently i had noticed that my laptop has this huge issue. When i was on the laptop, i clicked on certain icons on my desktop. When i did this, it would then say are you sure you want to delete it? I clicked no but all that happened was that same popup showed up 50 times at least. Basically i cannot X it out. I then control/alt/delete and noticed there were 50 windows at least on this. Only way to get out of this was to restart my computer or shut down... then turn on again. Its like imagine you right click on something and click delete and it ask if you want to delete it. So i have to basically restart laptop.

When i turned on my laptop, i see this black screen with lot of words but only 1 option. Its not you shut computer off and go on safe mode or regular mode and you choose etc. Basically it says something like choose the program to start or something like that. Under it... only option is windows 7. I dont click on anything but just click Enter then it goes to the main screen. I then had the same thing happen when i click on something on desktop... it keep asking if i want to delete that program and obviously i click no but it doesnt work. It seems like its right clicking for me but im pretty sure this isn't a virus though. Thoughts on this?

I also then recently had my laptop screen flickering. Basically its rainbow color but when i move it up or down the screen, it would be green or yellow or black etc. At the moment, my laptop screen on the left side of it has like a black rectangle going straight down on it. I connect an external monitor to my laptop so this isn't an issue since im using this as my main screen.

Now the other thing that has me wondering is when im typing... sometimes it would then backspace everything that is being written. Example as im typing this, it would suddenly backspace everything. Note... my backspace button on my laptop and external keyboard... i dont have the backspace button pressed at all. It would seem like its some virus or something but i dont think its the case. I think it has something to do with the inside of my laptop like the connectors or graphic cards maybe?

And when i do restart the computer when i have that issue with the mouse left click and asking me over and over if i want to delete and send it to recycle bin, everytime it starts up again would say

choose an operating system to start or press tab to select a tool:
user the arrow keys to highlight your choice then press enter

Windows 7

to specifcy an advanced option for this choice, press f8

tools;

windows memory diagnostics

So everytime i just press Enter then it would start up computer. But many times its like chance... when i click on say an icon on my desktop or click start and left click something like a folder... same issue... asking me if i want to delete it.

I wonder why my laptop has all these issues. From the battery, to this and then i have my screen basically permanently flickering. Well its not flickering if u dont move it around, its just a black rectangle or rainbow rectangle. And if i were to move a google chrome window to the laptop window... well that rectange blocks everything.

Alright. I went to the computer repair shop here. Basically he took a look at it... he pretty much instantly told me i need a LCD replacement screen and thus he cannot help me with this since here in mexico, you cannot get a sager replacement screen. Said if i had the replacement screen, yes he can replace it for me.

I then asked him... well could it be either a loose cable connection or a broken cable connection that needs replacing. He tells me instantly that isn't possible. He said if it was... i would lots of these flickering lines everywhere across the screen. I only have it on one spot. Basically what i have is a long vertical rectangle that goes from the top of screen to bottom... its about 2 inches horizontal and whatever it is from top of screen to bottom. As to where it is at specifically, it on the left side... but imagine you were to cut my computer screen veritically into 5.5 equal parts. This part that has this is part 2. So does this give an idea of how it looks like?

He then tells me when i connect the laptop to an external monitor, is there anything like that on that monitor. I told him no. He said that confirms that this isn't a cable issue or anything like that and its 100 percent lcd replacement screen. What has me a bit confused is i called a xoticpc and a repair shop about this thats not in mexico... they both told me in order to confirm why my monitor is like this, they have to open it up to confirm if its a loose cable, broken cable or LCD replacement.

So based on what i was told at the computer repair shop here, is that pretty much close to 100 percent the LCD Screen? He told me since there wasn't any sager parts he can order here, theres no point for him to open it up. He tells me its 100 percent the LCD screen based on what he sees on laptop screen and the me mentioning external monitor no issues.

Thanks.
