Is 8gb 1600mhz DDR3 9-9-9-27 still good enough?

I'm wondering soon, if not already, will my current RAM hold me back speed wise. When I built my rig a little over a year ago (December 2014) it seemed like a good option for my budget at the time, but I see that today most people are running higher than 1600mhz and I'm considering buying some new sticks soon to go up in speed and to 16gb.

With the 8350 I wouldn't pay extra for the CL9, many 8350s can easily handle 2133 though CL9 is tight for many also, if any problems, give me a shout and we can try some adjustments

The motherboard gives me the option to go as high as 2133mhz. I've been looking at a set of 2133mhz cl10 and a set that's 2133mhz cl9. The cl9 set is 20$ more. Would it be worth it?
