I don't want to dual boot with Boot Camp, it only allows me to install either Windows XP or Windows Vista and XP is too old, and Vista is just a joke.

So, maybe I could create a bootable drive to install Linux, then from Linux install Windows 7?

Is this possible?

Solution
Update: found THIS-> https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204048

If I click on Windows 7, then drop down there's a list of supported hardware. There is NO SUPPORT listed for 2009 Mac Mini, and only goes to 32-bit Vista (not 64-bit Vista).

Not supported. Sorry.

Update:
Well, hope it works then for W7. Maybe the link I had is outdated.

W10 drive?
Pretty sure your friend is wrong.

Yeah I have an early 2009 mac mini.

Then I would guess you need to update your existing copy of OSX then. I've never used Boot Camp myself but I'm looking now to verify this.

Actually it's letting me get Windows 7. Well I wish I could just have Windows 7 my native OS. My friend said I could just replace my harddrive with one with Windows already installed on it.
