It will not have much better performance, in fact it may be slightly lower. The main advantage is the ability to upgrade the processor in the future. If money is tight now, go for the i7 and enjoy it.

Are you building a whole new system, or upgrading the processor on an existing system? I ask because the two processors you list are of different form factors. The i5 is LGA 1151 whereas the i7 is LGA 1150. The two are not compatible and will require different motherboards.

The performance gains from Skylake to me just isnt enough to justify the price premium. and DDR4 doesnt have that much over DDR3

It very much depends on the software. An i7 has hyperthreading but that doesn't buy you much if the software can't use it. Most games are limited by the GPU these days and the CPU is almost irrelevant.

My personal choice would be the i7 but given the right benchmark either would out perform the other, it does very much depend on how many cores the software can use.

Yup,Gpu play vital role in games so will it be better purchasing an i3 4th gen and spending left money on buying gpu like amd r7 260x or nvidia 750ti,if i take my pc only for gaming

It very much depends on the game, TANE for example is optimised for nVidia Maxwell GPUs, so GTX950-980, other games may be optimised for another GPU. nVidia has a program to assist game publishers get the most out of their GPUs so straight benchmarks that do use the particular game may not be as helpful as they might be. TS12 the CPU is more important, for TANE there is a lighter load on the CPU but a much heavier load on the GPU. Do your research on a forum that supports the game you are interested in.

In other words what are the requirements to run the game and use what others are saying the publisher's requiermnts tend to be if the sliders are set to minimum this will run on a Raspberry pi.
