So as the title says I'm receiving this error when connecting to the internet that says "one or more internet protocols is missing on this device". It's very strange because my PC was working fine until I replaced the power supply. When I did this I unplugged every connector, both power and data, and then reattached them all to clean up some cable management. When I booted the PC back up I was having this issue. The icon shows that I have internet but it will not connect in the browser or download updates.
I have seen other threads with this same error message and I have tried every software fix I have seen at this point. I'm beginning to worry I may have damaged something when tinkering in the case.
Thanks for any help

Solution
Ehhh, what powersupply did you have and what did you replace it with?

It's possible you caused a short maybe....

Mmm, maybe you could try a bios update.

Yeah I did, and that's when it shows the error message about not having the network protocols installed. And when I try to select fix as administrator it fails

Thats what has me so worried is that I've tried that aswell. Im using a Gigabyte z170mx-gaming-5 and ive uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers with still no luck. In desperation i even did a brand new install of windows 10.

I had a 600watt thermaltake that i replaced with a CX 750M, a 750watt modualr power supply. Ill try the bios update

Oh... what you replaced it with may have been worse >_> the CX series is garbage. as well as like half of corsairs other lines.
