greetings fellow member especially pcmasterrace member i have some question and need advice
i got pretty old rig my spec was i7 2600k , z77 ,16gb ram , gtx 970 also my faithfull 27 inch benq monitor
i am just casual player cs go and dota also played some rpg game if there''s a new
so in short i got my tax revenue back so i have a little money to spend in my pc gaming life
i have 2 option buy a rock solid 144hz monitor like asus rog swift monitor ?
or sell my current rig then upgrade it to i7 6700k and z170 also ddr4 ram and buy a decent 144hz monitor maybe like benq monitor xl 2430t?? it's have 144hz
the second choice maybe possible but i am not so sure if upgrading my current rig give boost to my cs go and dota2 game experiance because in my current rig i got more than 200fps i think in 1080p setup
please can u guys give me some advice i can't afford both :(

A 2600K, 16GB + 970 is still a very capable gaming rig. If you're seeing 200+FPS on the games you play at the moment, you'd be wasting money upgrading to a 6700K.

Buying a new monitor (if your current monitor isn't up to much) makes the most sense.

I agree, if you are getting a good FPS count then upgrade the monitor. If you upgrade your hardware, you will get an FPS boost but you won't see any better graphics in terms of fidelity and resolution. I would recommend getting a good monitor to prepare for an upgrade in the future.
