Hi.ive been using integrated graphics for a while so I purchased the msi gtx 970 a few days ago and recieved it this morning. I installed it in my pc and booted. The resolution was terrible (new gpu) so i changed it to 1080p. Windows tried installing the vga controller thingy, but it failed. So i downloaded the latest driver from my phone because now my pc wont connect to the internet even tho it says i have a connection. I tried to install the driver via nvidia controller, and it got stuck at "checking if system is compatible. So i got the driver cd from the box, and tried to install them, but now the install is at 99% installing the msi vga drivers. When i go to device manager, it says "other devices- video controller (vga compatible) with a little yellow triangle next to it. I dont know what to do. Any help :(
On windows 7

I wonder if he has to swap from in the bios from onboard to pci-e use if it don't do it automatically or go in and insure it set for pci-e card use

your system specs may be of some help as #5 in ironsounds list of things to look at that some
Hello... 1) does your device manager have any unhappy?
2) Are you plugged into the Video card?
3) can you start the NVidia app in the control panel and change settings there, too match your monitor, for clearer a picture?
4) You also have to load a HD audio driver for your GPU.
5) Some people have to update their MB BIO's for the new 900 series Video cards.
