Hi, I need some help here. So I have a Cooler Master Nepton 240m and a Element Gaming Hyperion Micro ATX Case. The motherboard is mounted in the middle of the case, and my PSU and HDD's etc. go behind it. My radiator is going to be in the part where my PSU is, behind the motherboard. My question is, should I have the radiator attached to the case, with the fans pushing air through the radiator and out of the case (Probably less air in this side of the case), or Have the Fans attached to the case, pulling air through the radiator and out of the case. Or... should I have the fans attached to the case pulling air from outside the case and pushing it through the radiator into the case, or should i have the radiator attached to the case, pulling air from outside through the radiator and exhausting into the case?

Thanks

Stock that case has 2 exhaust fans on top, and 1 at the back. Only 1 intake.

Take the 2 top fans and put them on the bottom as intakes. You could attach a radiator on the bottom but the spacing is off so only 1 fan would be attached.

Now try to attach the radiator on the top of the case, fans attached to the case as exhaust. Suckair through the radiator and out the top. Ignore the side mount for radiator and remove it to make room for cable management back there.

If the radiator doesn't fit on top then you have no choice but to put it on the side with fans on case as exhaust the same way as on top.

Either way move the top fans down as intake to create positive air pressure to reduce dust. The positive air pressure won't...

Thanks for that, I have more fans. The config I'm having them in is 1x AF120 on back as exhaust, 2x AF120 on bottom as intake, 2x AF120 on top as exhaust and 1x 200mm fan on front as intake. So I want the radiator on the side, but need to know the best way to configure the fans. Thanks again

Mount the fans against the case/bracket using those corse fan screws. Have them blowing outside the case pulling air through the radiator. The fans will be attached to the radiator with whatever screws that radiator takes.

Usually the fans attach to the radiator and the fans attach to the case using fan screws leaving the radiator just hang from the fans without being attached to the case. The only time fans would go on the inside of the case is if you also have fans on the case side of the radiator creating a push pull configuration with 4 fans. It's not often you see the radiator attached to the case directly.

Also I don't think your case has filters on the bottom. I'd make some using magnetic strips so they can easily be removed.

Okay, so what would the difference make if I had the radiator directly on the case?

And also, there is filters on the side and the bottom of the case.

No difference where the radiator is. As long as the fans blow in the right direction. Many times you don't have the proper length screws to mount the radiator to the case, you just have the screws to mount fans to the radiator. Fans go to the case with standard fan screws (which I hate by the way). They don't hold good and are easily stripped.

I'm sure that with the coolermaster nepton 240m, you get screws to attach the fans to the radiator, and then screws to attach the radiator to the case.
