So I recently have replaced my hard drive because it was corrupt and now that I am starting fresh with basically a fresh pc, I have to install all the drivers.

Here are my specs:

Gigabyte GA 990 FXA UD3
Radeon R9 270x
AMD Vishera 6300
EVGA 500w PSU
16g Patriot Viper RAM
I also have a random PCI expansion card for DVI I bought from my local surplus store

Anyway there are a few problems. I run a 3 monitor set up, 2 monitors connected to my graphics card, and 1 connected to my expansion card. The monitors will duplicate but when I go to connect to a external device / add the monitor, It can't be detected, and they are both identified as monitor 1. I also have no sound, and I am having a ton of issues trying to get my display drivers working. Whenever I open up AMD Radeon Settings I get this message

I have tried doing a clean install of all the drivers using DDU and the AMD Cleanup utility. but nothing is really working. Also tried getting rid of the display adapters in device manager and such. Maybe im just doing something wrong. Anyway, if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

that's what I mean even going back to 13.12 that it akll worked 3 hrs ago now it still don't that's what pisses me off seems something in that latest driver screw things up and now back on the old driver it still don't work and cant get it back working

everything inwindow shows it all working and fine but in the 'play back devices'' where you change things from speakers from off the board to hdmi from the vid card to monitor speakers is now as ''not plugged in ??

see -- had 13.12 all worked as expected and fine - went to newer driver now not working - went right back to 13.12 with in 3hrs and still not working

thing is the driver installs fine but something's now up with the AMD hi-def-audio driver part of it...
funny thing is I have a amd card that sound through the card was working fine [13.12 driver] so I wanted to try a newer driver a guy was having a issue with to see if I got it as well to help ..

so uninstalled my olde driver installed the newer driver looked things over and that's when I noticed the sound throught the card [hdmi] did not work everything showed all was good like in device manager [this device is working properly and showed enabled ] and all that but in the sound manager it showed device not plugged in ?? spent about3 hrs fooling with the new driver and uninstalled it and reinstalled the 13.12 I been using and now it still don't work matter of fact I was fooling around with it today

so in my opinion something in the newer driver [I think it was 15.4 or something ?? ] screwed that up some how everything was working 100% fine until I installed it now it don't ??

that's my theory -amd screwed me -- never had a issue before I installed the latest driver and only used it for maybe 2-3 hrs

Alright so I tried downgrading the driver to 13.12, everything is still the same. Same error message when trying to open CCC and still no sound.

well where did you get the driver from here at amd ? [Manually Select Your Driver[

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

oh, try this un hook all but one of the monitors as well just use one primary monitor and see then hook up the rest .. I also guess you got al the motherboard drivers in as well like chipset ??

sad thing is I wish I never tried to help that guy by doing what I did now I got it in the end for that [no good deed goes unpunished ]

if you can you may try that card in another computer like you buddies if needed to see if it will work or if some how the card went bad ?? some time if the cars driver don't install they say the card could be bad ?

then as well like as said here may need windows to catch up seeing you did a fresh install but with a new build I do seems I still don't run in to that deal for me , just stick the card in and install the driver ?? frustrating for sure at times
