I have a 1tb hdd that I once used as an internal hdd for my laptop in order to run linux.I used it for some months until I had an alert on bad sectors.The disk utility tool of linux warned me of the poor state of the hdd and that it had a bad sector.I could use the hdd(as an internal) for normal operations except for copy and moving files on it.Now the hdd is used as an external(It is formatted with all the partitions deleted) and I still face the same problem of copying and moving files to and from it.As an external now,I still find a lot of difficulty just connecting it to my windows laptop to just view the files on it.My little knowledge tells me that all these are resulting from the bad sector.
If indeed it is a bad sector,how can I fix it to enable my hdd to work normally.If it's not,there should be other options to let it work normally.
