I have a strange problem. My computer is Windows8.1. Recently, the computer starts to power off immediately during the start-up when windows 8.1 logo shows up it powers off. But the strange part of this problem, it does this one time only. I turn-on the computer in the morning and powers of immediately like electric city is gone when windows 8.1 logo appears. However, i do start it again and this time it works without any problem. This problem is happening everyday for at least 15 days now and i couldnt find any log record about it in the events. Any idea where to look what to do ?

The disk is Samsung 500gb SSD and I bought it 9 months ago. I just did checked it with SSD life free program and it says my SSD is perfectly healthy. Today it didnt power off when i turn on the computer. Well, there are other 4 internal HDD on the computer maybe one of them has problem. But this is more like a system software problem to me as it does this problem when windows 8.1 logo shows up with that loading circle showing and it does only at the morning one time.

Just because something's new or was working doesn't mean it IS working.

Did you disable fastboot options like I said?

I just disabled the fastboot and will see tomorrow morning. Because this is happening at morning only. I am also suspecting about something cold start maybe the reason, maybe power sub but it is new too. Yeah it doesnt mean is working you are right. Lets see tomorrow morning and I will post.

I have disabled the fastboot yesterday and today morning it didnt power off and started without any issue. But just wanted to let you know it didnt power off 2 days ago as well with fastboot on. Lets see for 3 more days and I will update. If this is related to fastboot, does that mean my booting system damaged ? Can it be still possible HDD fail or software issue ?

It could be any number of things, but most likely it's just some sort of install corruption, which you might be able to fix with sfc /scannow
