First build, did I do it wrong? (Computer keeps going into 'automatic repair')

Hello, I recently built my first PC and it might just be my last.

Build:

Intel Core i5-4590
ASUS H97-PLUS LGA 1150
SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
SeaSonic SS-300ET

Running Windows 10

The computer randomly goes into 'PC repair' yet never finds a fix. This forces me to have to 'Reset' the computer in 'PC repair' mode. Once the computer has the reset there is a 'Removed Apps' folder(/file?) shortcut on my desktop which basically list all the apps that I previously had installed on my PC and have now been removed.

So I now (and every other time that this has happened) have to download/reinstall all the software that I need for work; which is quite a bit... So this is a very annoying chore.

I initially noticed this problem when I switched between displays (experimenting with monitor vs 4K HDTV). As soon as I pulled the HDMI from one and switched to the other, the computer would reboot and go into 'repair mode'). About a week ago I decided to just leave the computer plugged into the monitor. I had no problems for about a week.

Today my antivirus (bitdefender) notifies me that I need to restart my PC due to an update. I go to restart and BAM Windows goes into repair mode.

I am not sure if I did something wrong, but I really would like to fix this. Please help, thank you!

I had a similar situation only had to actaully reload wi dows everytime it could not repair itself! .... Extremely depressing ... It turned out the CPU was faulty and failed the Intel diagnostic test.
Not sayi g yours is the same as I also had motherboard issues that may even have damaged the CPU.
But its a simple test to run, so worth zapping that just to exclude that issue.
Its download from Intel and run it.

Thank you for your reply. I finally got home and attempted to follow your instructions. I went into My PC > Local Disck (C:) > Properties > Tools > Error Checking > Check = "You dont need to scan this drive - We haven't found any errors on this drive. You can still scan the drive for errors if you want." > Scan drive > Your drive was successfully scanned. Windows successfully scanned the drive. No errors were found.

Not sure if I did this correctly?
