Hey guys, I'm somewhat new to the high end PC gaming world so i had my friend help me build one, so this is what i got based on his "expertise"
EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Superclocked ACX Video Card
Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
all running on a full HD Samsung monitor.
Now, while most games run way above what i expected, giving me 60 FPS on mostly ultra settings on games like the Witcher 3, and the Division for hours at a time. The next day i would turn on the game with no updates or driver changes in between, and get 20-30 FPS. Restart does not fix it and i have de fragmented the pc a few times with no results to show for it. After a few days of leaving it and going back to console gaming, it would run smooth as silk at 60 fps once again.
Any thoughts on what might be causing this?
