I'm upgrading my PC, I don't know if I should upgrade my CPU or graphics card, I do know if I upgrade my cpu I'll need a new motherboard, my budget is about $500-$600. I'm mostly just going to be using the pc for gaming/recording and some light editing.
PC: CPU: I5 firstname.lastname@example.org RAM: 28 gigs DDR3 RAM (I know it's overkill but I got a good deal) Graphics Card: EVGA 960 Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth P67

Definitely upgrade the GPU. If you can wait until later in the year for Polaris and Pascal, then I'd recommend you do so. If you want something right now, then a GTX 970 is a no-brainer for 1080p, or even 1440p.
CPU is still too strong, GPU is decent. I wouldn't change anything frankly speaking. Pascal and polaris are not far off and you could easily save $100-200 more and buy the 1080 when it comes out in 2-3 months (allegedly).
