Removed cpu, replaced and now no display

Hello guys, I read many posts on this forum and tried many troublshooting ideas iv seen in other forums and none seemed to help. so I decided to write my own and maybe someone has an idea.

I recently took apart my old 2005 HP desktop to clean it and gain a little know-how about how computers work. Successfully did just that put it back together and all was well. Used it a few days in a row without any problems. It then sat for a week untouched turned off, until today.

Today I took apart another old desktop I had to see if the parts were compatible, I removed and compared the CPUs sadly to find out they were different. when I put the cpu back in, heat sink and plugged everything back in I had no display on power up.

I have tested my monitor on the other desktop to ensure it isn't the monitor.

It seems my motherboard has a speaker but it doesn't ever make beeps, tried booting up with no ram and other things intentionally not there, received no sort of noise. There is also no light on my motherboard. The fans both run loud and strong powered through the motherboard.

Have tried resetting cmos battery(I believe that is what it is called)

Could I somehow have damaged my motherboard or cpu? I know this is a really repetitive post but none of the others I read helped and have been troubleshooting off them for multiple hours now, any ideas are much appreciated thanks.

Specs:
Ms-7525 ver1.0 motherboard
Intel celeron processor
Integrated graphics

And once again I did not build this pc, it was purchased from HP and worked a week prior to me recently removing the cpu

Something got rekt. Maybe bent pins/pads or paste is on a contact where it shouldn't. was the power light on the mobo when you removed the cpu?

Mobo has no power indicater as I stated before

Crapter :

Was asking if it had power on when you removed cpu or was all unplugged at the time.
Try another psu too
I have a box full of celeron/pentium/core2duo/quads for 775 slot. send me postage and you can have one free if needed

was unplugged for a week before I removed the cpu today so definatly was powerless.

Could it be the psu even tho it was untouched and worked the last time I used the computer? Wouldn't the fan in the psu and two powered thru the motherboard eliminate the psu as the problem?

All mobo pins where the cpu goes are not bent/damaged

if all you did was remove cpu and then put it back in and now a no powerlight, then either the cpu/mobo slot got damaged, dirtied or was installed wrong . Four pin psu connected right? 24 pin ?

The computer powers up and psu power light is on, my mobo has no power indicater light(possibly because a old model?), replaced exactly as I removed it and doesn't look damaged or dirty I can try to take pictures and post if that would help

pull out the power from mobo and reconnect both again, reseat ram, unplug all that does not need to be plugged in to run pc and try again

Same as it was with everything plugged in, no image on monitor or noises other than the fans only have power cables connected, fans, and cpu inserted (graphics are integrated)

Tried with no ram, 1 stick, and 2 sticks

That is my exact motherboard if that helps,
What I said earlier about the power is I have the 4pin plug near processor plugged in and a longer plug plugged in on the right side with the top 4 unused

you are sure the cpu sits correct in the two slots on the edge of cpu to slot keyed right?

Yeah there's actually only one way it fits it has two indentations on the chip made sure i aligned it and didn't force the cover on

Cmos reset (J BAT jumper) on the two pins closest to power connector? on normal?

No thats fine. you said you reset bios so i merely was checking that jumper was now in it's correct spot, as moving it across a pin for 10 secs can reset bios and suspected this may have been what you did. it must be put back to run. you must of pulled the battery method instead though?

Yea.. Still nothing, so you believe it would be the motherboard not the cpu?

My other power supply has a 24 pin and 4 pin not 20 pin and 4 pin like was originally in it, would that make a difference?

Weird how my motherboard can go, when all I messed with was the cpu since it last was working

went out today and purchased a new motherboard, cpu, and ram sticks and am having the exact same problem no display on screen... quite irritated at this point, i took my time , followed the instructions, worked on a wooden table on tile floors so i know i didn't accidentally shock any components with static.

New Parts:
Amd A-Series Accelerated Processing Unit AMD APU w/ Radeon R7 Graphics 4.1ghz (4cpu + 8 gpu)
Asus A88XM-A Motherboard
Patriot Viper 8gb DDR3 PC3-12800 1600mhz
(the ram says at the bottom of the case "designed for Intel 6/7/8 series platforms" wondering if the frys tech support told me to get the wrong ram?)

also put in my new gpu:
MSI Radeon R9 380 4gb 3.0 pci-e oc edition

and a new power supply:
cougar dx 80 plus dx600 600W

Have currently tried using the motherboards rgb video output as well as the motherboards hdmi port, as well as the new gpu's hdmi port, swapped the single ram stick to all 4 slots, triple checked the cpu placement and it was correct,

The motherboard's led light is on, all fans are spinning (cpu, and gpu) and are all plugged into the correct spots, going to take it all back out of the tower and see if resetting the battery does anything.

I'm praying it is the RAM causing the problem now but any feedback would be much appreciated

Also wondering since basically everything is brand new at this point except my harddrive could that be causing problems somehow?

reset cmos, breadboarded it and got a picture... now im very confused but happy, what would have caused it to not work before? the gpu being installed?
currently have display with psu, cpu, hsf, ram

so i got everything working finally, only problem i cant use the new gpu i ordered or i get no display, i can run it on integrated graphics, any suggestions/ideas? also would it be that bad to run it on the R7 integrated graphics and return the amd radeon r9 380 to newegg(if they let me that is)?

Within bios there is an option to use onboard graphics or pcie/gpu card, you need to switch it to pcie gen 2 and save, reboot till bios screen appears, switch off and install gpu card, turn on and test
