Advice Needed – Should I install Windows 10 on an SSD Raid 1?

I am building a brand new system that will ultimately have multiple RAIDs. Boot drive will be 2 500 GB SSD’s. The primary reason for the RAIDs is redundancy. I am planning to set up the non-boot drive Raids using Windows 10 Pro.

My concern is that having all of these Raids setup via Windows, I lose everything in the event of a boot drive failure (yes/no?). So should I setup a Raid 1 on my motherboard to be used as the boot drive? FWIW, my Motherboard is an ASRock X99 Extreme4 ATX LGA2011-3.

Any input here will be most appreciated!

Yes, got it... that is what I am planning on. I am not setting up this (boot drive) Raid for performance, I am want to use Raid1 for redundancy... It is pointless to have additional (non boot) RAIDs setup on my machine if my boot drive still serves as a single point of failure.

I have been searching all over and I rarely find anything on a Raid1 setup for a boot drive. Logically this approach makes sense to me, but wanting to hear from some experts.

The vast majority of people on this forum are home users and enthusiasts, so RAID isn't something that comes around very often. I see no reason why you couldn't RAID a boot drive, it's just not common practice. I assume this is because the OS installation and personal files are stored on seperate drives and most people would RAID the drive containing their files.
