Can I SLI both these cards with this software? (DifferentSLIAuto1.3.1.zip) I have a Z97 Pro-Gamer mobo

Solution

That's a driver hack. Reports from people who have tried it state that if the cards have different VRAM sizes, they get crashes to desktop or even BSODs. I would not recommend screwing around with it since Nvidia does not officially support SLI with two different types of GPUs.

Remember the old saying: if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Here's a forum thread starting with more recent posts from people trying to use it:

hmmm now I'm thinking as the GTX 560 is an Asus and my board is Asus - I'm sure the 560 is Nvidia (although the 660 does have "nvidia" printed on the Asus box) - would I even see any benefit in trying to SLI even if they could? no doubt I woud benefit from just swapping them out with my new 660 over the 560? Thanks for your reply!

You cannot SLI cards from different generations. You can't even SLI different models from the same generation. With a few exceptions when Nvidia did a little rebranding. (So no GTX950/960 SLI or GTX970/980 SLI, even though they are the same architecture)

For the most part AMD allows crossfire within the same processor family. So A 7970 and 7950 could crossfire, but not a 7870 as an example.
