Hi, I'm going to buy a Sapphire Nitro R9 380X . The recommended power supply for this card is 500W. (according to Sapphire's Website)Link: http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=B520A2A6-4D37-4499-9584-B6BE8823AAC0&lang=eng
My pc specs:
Processor : Core i5 2500k 3.3 GHz
Ram : 8GB DDR3 1600 MHz.
HDD : 1 TB.
Mobo: ASUS P8 Z77 VLK
Monitor: ASUS VX229H
Power Supply : Thermaltake LitePower 450w. Black (Link: http://www.thermaltake.com/products-model.aspx?id=C_00001755 )

So, Will my 450W. Thermaltake Power Supply be able to handle the Sapphire Nitro 380x or will I have to buy a new PSU?

Either one of these will do the job and are good quality made by Seasonic. The 620 watt is only $5 more than the 520 watt. No rebates needed.

for the love of god don't...the max output power for that is less than 350 watts when you calculate the dual +12w rails.

so the 2 months window you've provided will be you most likely waiting for a replacement for the GPU and PSU that you' would've blown up.

Yah I mean there is a risk . No doubt about that . If the power supply has the right connectors , then give it a shot . If it doesn't then it's probably not made for the gpu. I would say pick up a EVGA 500B for about $20
