Upgrading a modular power supply - Do I need to rewire everything anyway?

So I'm upgrading from this http://goo.gl/giD4Ko (EVGA G2 850W)

to this http://goo.gl/hHU11p (EVGS G2 1300)

Recently picked up a second graphics card and the 850 W, while it worked extremely well (seriously, GREAT PSU), was closer to the borderline than I would like. As in too close to even consider overclocking and I think I was getting a power bottleneck. I also just want to get myself closer to that efficiency sweetspot.

So the big question I have is do I need to go in and take all the wiring out from the old PSU and rewire everything, or can I just take out the back block and swap in the new one since its pretty much the same model, just with a higher wattage?

If I were you I would change the cables to be on the safe side. They do use the same platform, but unless you are swapping the psu with the exact same model you will need to change the cables.
