I have been having an odd problem for the past few months. I first thought my SSDs failed and I replaced 2 of them and am now on a 3rd SSD but the problem Persists. I then realized it must be the cables backing off. They get loose and need to be reseated to work. When I reseat them it runs fine for a while then they back off. I have even replaced the SATA cable but it continues.
What happens exactly is both the SATA and PSU connectors will slowly ease themselves back off the SSD connectors. I cannot find any reason for this at all. I have even gone so far as to swap out the PSU but it still happens.
My case does not get warm at all, temps are excellent.
The only thing I can figure is that the SATA and PSU wires are too stiff so they want to pull back on the connections. Is there some brand of PSU and SATA cable that is supple enough to just hang in place?
Or I am wondering if there is some way to connect them better. I hate those SATA connections. really insecure IMO.
