One stick of 8gb ram or two sticks of 2gb ram???

Hi! Need help quick! Would it be better to have one stick of 8gb ram in single channel or two sticks of 2gb in dual channel does the benefits of dual channel out weigh the extra 4gb of ram although it's in single channel?? Thank you!

Make sure that each slot can take 8GB of RAM though.

Say, if you have 2 slots, and the limit for your system is 8GB of RAM, then each slot can only have 4GB of RAM installed.

Having 2x2GB won't make much difference than having 1x4GB and it will not be better than 1x8GB.

Go for 1x8GB because you will have a slot emty and you can upgrade the RAM in the future if you wish to do so.
