Is this ssd a good price to buy??

Solution
I have bought a few AData SSDs from a few of their lines. Many of them are lower-performing, budget units, but none of them are "not very good." They aren't the best, certainly, but insofar as even a slow SSD is almost always remarkably faster than a mechanical drive (but check write speeds), if your budget limits you to AData, then so be it.
That said, if you aren't constrained by budget, then I too would recommend Samsung, Sandisk, or Crucial MX (not BX; those are slow, especially writing).

http://pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=2677651 56. Ill make sure they would send the receipt with it, the store they bought it is in the South Island but I am quite sure they would have to replace it if it broke. But what gets me is how could a ssd not fit it seems a bit fishy tbh.

Is it a good SSD or are they better options and better prices?

I am planning soon to build a new computer with top of the line specs. Currently I am using a 2TB hard drive for everything and a lot of people are saying ssd's are good so i should get one right?

its an ok ssd not spectacular--its their middle of the road model not top one--no idea what prices are there but

personally i always go samsung

The read and write speeds seem really good why is it a terrible drive?

i didnt say it was terrible--i said it was ok

Okay, I do have a budget but its like 2k nzd or so. I already have a 660 so i won't get a new gpu for a while but yeah 300 or so is my max for an ssd as ill be buying a 2 or 4 tb drive as well for backups and mass storage. Why is that ssd terrible though it has decent read and write speeds.

Why are other one's better then? What does this one not have and the other ones have?

I want to have my os obv and games like Dota 2 and some application, the issue is I don't want to be having half the things on one drive. It just get's so confusing like having my documents on a mechanical etc.

firstly the advertised read/write speeds dont always tell the true picture

it depends whether they used compressible data or incompressible data

it may read for example 550/500 in atto benchmark

but try something like AS SSD benchmark and it may be far lower than that

though still faster than a mechanical drive read/write and access times especially

but the other factor is reliability--thats where i always prefer samsung or even intel drives

TBH i trust a mechanical drive than an ssd anyday. If my drive does die i can get it back since the data is stored magnetically.

The numbers provided are usually measured under ideal conditions, which may not be characteristic of the conditions under which the drive will be used. They're not lying, and can show test results, but their tests won't match the usage patterns and/or type of data (e.g. compressible or not) of typical users. The "better" drives (e.g. Samsung, Sandisk, Crucial MX) are more likely to test better under more realistic conditions, or they may have additional reliability features like power loss protection, additional reserve space to map worn sectors, longer warranties, etc.

Alright, ill still look around but hope it goes down in price sometime. I have had terrible experience with samsung products tbh lol.
