So i did make a homegroup with 2 Pc's running WIndows 7 and 8...The fist system is a desktop pc and the second one is a laptop which is connected to a wireless network..I connected these two via a 2 meter crossover ethernet cable. My problem is that the ping on the desktop is higher about 50 ms than the laptop which is connected straight on the internet...Because its the first time im making a homegroup could you plz recommend any settings that would make the connection faster (my concern is the ping) and if there is any software for managing this connection cause i dont see much settings in windows..
Thank you very much!

Thanks for the reply!
Wireless here is my only option, i cant go hard wired! Also i mentioned only the notebook is connected to the wireless and all i want is to share the connection with my desktop via ethernet...Im mentioning that the second PC (Desktop) gives me ~50ms more ping than the notebook does when i run the ping command on google.com in cmd!Hope i did things clearer not more confusing...
