Hey,

I'm looking for a web browser for Windows 95 (you know, because I don't want to use Internet Explorer 4.) but not a super old browser like Netscape.

Maybe an older version of Slim Browser or Off By One will work? :??:

This is correct, if you follow Nathan Lineback's instructions he has a custom SeaMonkey 1.1.20 that runs on Windows 95 ("SeaMonkey95"): http://toastytech.com/files/95browsing.html

Firefox 1.5.0.12 (http://www.sdfox7.com/nt40/FFX15012.EXE) will work on most pages, and so will Firefox 2.0.0.20 (http://www.sdfox7.com/win98/FIREFOX2.EXE).

If you choose the Firefox 2 route, follow the instructions on my page for best results: http://sdfox7.com/win95/firefox.htm

I have posted those links, because the links on Mozilla's server are at HTTPS:// which you will not be able to access from Internet Explorer on Windows 95.

There is also seamonkey that was updated until 2009 still maintaining compatibility with windows 95, I believe 1.9, maybe 1.8 and it is in the same family as firefox.
