today ive upgraded my GPU, CPU, RAM and PSU . games ran fine on my new GTX 960 but only those that loaded. problem is things take INSANELY long times to load now. steam updates are impossible and games often crash while loading. even loading my system specs takes insanely long. Whats the problem?.

You did not list your specs, so I can't say to much about compatibility issues, but if the system turns on and runs, I don't think there's incompatibility involved. Slow pcs are caused by other stuff. Do a backup on your files. Replace the HDD. Do a clean install. These are the easiest things to do, but probably will resolve tho problem.

Sorry for this very very late response, ive been busy these past 2 weeks. So do you really think reinstalling windows will make it faster? Ive bought a new HDD to replace the one i used for the past 5 years just to be safe (still havent put it in the PC). Im also using a very old MOBO (Gigabyte GA-M68MT-S2 (REV 3.1)) and would that be a possible cause of problems? Also anything i try to install/download gives me an error and every steam game i play gives me the disk write error so im leaning more on it being the HDD but with a new HDD comes a new windows so theres that. Someone also told me i need to update my bios for the new CPU could that be the slowdown since i still havent updated.

Ps. Only thing i kept from the old PC is the MOBO which is a Gigabyte GA-m68mt-s2 REV 3.1 and the HDD. I bought a new HDD to replace the old one but still havent done it. I uninstalled the GPU drivers from my old GPU but nothing else
