Confused between graphic cards

Hi all,

My PC Specs are:

Corsair VS 550 SMPS
GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2PT Motherboard
Kingston 8 GB Hyper Fury X 1866 mhz
Seagate Baracudda 1TB HDD
AMD AM3+ FX 6300 3.5 Ghz
Sapphire R7 240 1GB DDR5 Graphic Card

I am planning to upgrade my Graphic card and confused between these 2

Zotac GTX 760 2GB DDR5 and Sapphire R9 270X 2GB DDR5. Both are in my budget.

I know gtx 760 is slightly better in performance. Performance wise I don't have any problem in selecting either of these. I need to know which one will draw less power and run more cooler.

Considering the above specs specially PSU and the processor which one of this will best suit?

According to the websites, they use a similar amount of power, but the 960 uses slightly less. In general Nvidia cards will run cooler than AMD and the drivers are more frequent and of better quality. Your PSU is on the low end but it should run just fine as long as it isn't faulty.
