Hi guys, I'm building a pc for home use (office, web surfing, eg.) and I don't know whether I should pick the a8 7600 or the g3220. Let me start by saying that paying 40$ for the difference isn't a big problem, what should I do? I know that for what I do with the pc the difference isn't that big, but I am trying to build a solid computer, fast and reactive.

What kind of budget do you have for this? Personally, I would recommend an i3 for the performance, low power consumption and longevity of the system. That being said, if you're doing very light tasks, the G3220 would work fine and you would always have the option of upgrading it later.

Well I was hoping to spend about 350$ and the i3 is kind of expensive.
I have all figured out but the cpu (and so the motherboard). The tasks I do are essentially web surfing (tons of pages at the same time), office, music, and this kind of stuff.

I would personally go with a WiFi capable mITX system in the OP's circumstance, but it is a bit over budget.

If you don't already have a SSD, I would get one anyway. A solid state drive makes more of a difference in day-to-day use than upgrading from a Pentium to an i7 would.

I personally like DonkeyOatie's ITX build a lot, and without the Windows license, OP can fit an i3 into the budget, maybe even a Skylake i3.

Your design, more expensive, but better. You could get a CPU cooler later and overclock if that proved necessary.

Your needs are very 'light' at the moment, so you could go even cheaper. I'm reluctant to go there because the future always seems to be more demaninding and when needs change, they are rarely to less than what we need now.
