Amd fx 8120 overheating?

When i play games some times my computer turns off i thought it was my memory which was broken but wasnt hard drive with all my games on was clicking so i thought that was the problem i bought a ssd and just uisng that now but i still get random cut outs so ive looked at the temps and im getting 83c while in game i have used a few tools and im getting different results ?

Different readings ? Im trying to find software which allows a show over of my cpu temp in game but cant find any ?

I'm guessing that you are getting thermal throttling of your motherboard and overheating of the power delivery system (VRMs) You motherboard lacks heatsinks for the VRMs and is unsuitable for a FX8??? of any sort. There may be other issues.

If you play with the case open and it helps, that's a sign of this. Another test is to temporarily zip tie a case fan so that it blows on and cools directly the VRMs, the components on the motherboard between the socket and the rear I/O Shield.

AMD Overdrive will show the Thermal Margin of your CPU.
