Hi,

One day when starting up my laptop I got an black screen with:

Intel Undi ....

PXE-MOF: Existing PXE ROM
Operating System Not Found.

Now since I'm a engineering student, I tried to fix it myself; with no luck :(

Can't open the BIOS, so i removed the small battery in the motherboard but nothing changed.

So i tried looking something up and got HirensBootCD on my usb and that worked, but now I'm too scared to do anything else since I can lose valuable data. Anyone have any experience or ideas how I can fix this problem.

Thanks very much!

Ok boot with a windows disk, whichever version you have, even if you have to borrow a friends disk, and run startup repair a few times, maybe 3 or 4. That usually will figure out what to do and fix the bootup issue.

My laptop never gives me the chance

I tried clicking every button when starting up (ESC, F2, F8, F10, DEL)
But with no luck

It just goes to black screen with the text:
Intel UNDI, PXE-2.1 (build 083)
Copyright ...

PXE-E61: Media test failure,check cable

PXE-MOF: Existing PXE ROM
Operating System Not Found

Well it could be the HDD has failed and its not seeing bootable disk in the optical drive so it tries to boot from the network and fails at that too.
Please test the harddrive using bootable disk. Perhaps a hirens bootdisk or a linux live disk. Any of your friends should be able to burn one for you. Youmight also try booting from your windows repair or restore disks and see if they can see the HDD.

I tried running mini windows XP with HirensbootCD with succes al my files were there so it's not the hd (SSD) but the motherboard (I Think).

If I run my Laptop regardless of the hardrive or even "the motherboard battery", being in or out, it still shows the same text:
