My steelseries free gamepad wont work on my galaxy s7 edge

Hello I just received my steelseries free gamepad from amazon today and when i tried to use it on my galaxy s7 edge it only shows up as a keyboard when a pair it with bluetooth. It work on my pc and shows up as a gamepad but wont work on my phone. any info will be helpful, Thanks.

Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem on my S7. I have Samsung VR and it wont recognize it at all.

yes i did i turned bluetooth off and on a bunch of times on my phone untill it recognized it and eventually it worked . Good luck man I know how annoying it was

I have an S7 EDGE and my Zeemote SteelSeries DOES WORK. It does show up as keyboard input. And to pair 1) cant pair while charging 2) press A and B to get white flashing 3) turn on phone bluetooth and scan.

A couple of things. The controller wont work if your running a launcher type app as your theme on the phone. Must be on stock settings. And it only moves around apps and selects. It doesnt really work on any other Playstore app games Ive come across. Only those within Occulus. And it does work for the S6 EDGE and the S7 EDGE. The buttons are the select and go back. the cross is your VR swipe. The cross and the joysticks will do movement on games.
