My PC sometimes boots up without detecting graphics card?

I've been having a problem with my PC lately where my graphics card isn't detected, or takes about 10-15 seconds to boot up into the proper resolution. This issue is fixed after a reboot most of the time but it is incredibly annoying to deal with.

Anyone know what's going on with this? Is it something to do with the Bios?

Solution
IF you have an internal/onboard graphics,
Download the current Suite for your GPU and Ccleaner (install Ccleaner),
uninstall the current driver suite,
power down, remove the GPU, plug the monitor into the onboard port,
power up,
use Ccleaner to purge the system of extra leftovers (temp files and Registry orphans),
reboot like this, power back down,
re-install the GPU and its power, startup connected to it, install new suite,
restart and see how it behaves.

I'm not saying this will be the answer, just a clean look at it as far as the system goes. If it continues, the GPU may have something going out on it or your PCIe slot is jacked.

It worked. I did everything you said. I think the card might have actually not been plugged in all the way, this time when the card snapped into place, it felt completely fastened.
