How and I find details about Tenda N4?

I want to install DD-WRT or OpenWRT on to my router named Tenda N4 150M Wireless Router. But despite my best efforts I can't find precise details about the chipset used in this router.

The instruction from the DD-WRT website was to find the FCC ID, this info was not available on the label of the router.

I searched for all Tenda products on fccid.io i.e. FCC IDs starting with V7T. The closest match I found was Tenda 300M 11N Wireless Router (V7TN300). While the appearance is nearly identical (except for the number of antennae) I'm not too sure if this also means that they use the same chipset...

So, I was trying to "upgrade" my router to DD-WRT except I cant find out what SoC my model uses... I've tried everything short of disassembling the router to get this information. What's even more frustrating is I can't get the FCC ID either from the Router's label or its documentation. The closest thing I found was V7TN300. It looks about the same but mine only has one antenna instead of two. Also my model name says N4 but I can only find N3 and N6 in DD-WRT wiki pages.

Unless it is a huge pain I would take it apart and look at the chip. You can compare it with the pictures they post on the FCC site.

You would think it would be easier to find some kind of fccid otherwise a company could just claim it was fcc certified even though it wasn't

A 300m router generally implies it is running 2 streams of data ..ie 2 antenna. It likely is very different than a chip that can only run 1 stream of data.

Depends how desperate you are. If it has a FCC id you should be able to find it in this list. Best bet is to guess and look at the external photo and then try to read the many massive documents for parts info.

V7T should get you everything tenda sell...at least things they did not just rebrand.

Well, that's what I did and I found out Tenda 300M 11N wireless router (V7TN300) as the closest match. Both share the same visual appearance except that the 300M has 2 antennae instead of one in the N4. But can I just take that the chipsets will also be the same? The N4 doesn't seem to have its own page at fccid.io

What's even worse is searching for the 300M takes me to nowhere (or rather everywhere unhelpful).
