Hi, after the most recent Nvidia driver update, my gpu is underperforming. In fact its under full load but it is at a low temperature of 40 degrees celcius. How do I solve this problem?

Solution
Using tool like rivatuner (usually come together with third party overclocking tool such as MSI AB) you can view lots of gpu parameter (and some cpu stuff too). You said that your gpu was underperforming so you can look at this parameter and try looking what's the problem is. Well you can learn abput it one step at a time. That's what i do too in the past. Personally i have OSD turn all the time (some people might not like this but the OSD can easily be toggle on and off). Whenever i see something off i would see OSD first.

GPU temperature should be higher than the CPU.
Double check to see if it is indeed the GPU is running at 40C or the CPU.

so my core clock apparently in a game is about 534mhz which the usual should be about 1000. so what should i do??

Try to reinstall the driver in the following way:

  • download latest driver manually
uninstall the graphics card from device manager
    reboot the system
    Install nvidia driver.
