Cannot Change to ahci from ata

I've got a dell inspiron 580 and just got an ssd a couple a days ago and tried to change to ahci but I always get a blue screen whenever I try to boot the computer with ahci.I booted the computer using the hard disk.

When you change from IDE to AHCI mode on a previously installed Win 7 installation, you must tweak the registry.

I usually do manually. It is very straight forward. No, you will not have to reinstall Windows..

Installing that will also update the Intel chipset drivers. Yes, I recommend using.
