So, yesterday I bought a Corsair H75 liquid cooling system for my CPU.
It took awhile to install, nevertheless, I got it up and working (by working, I mean that the cooler's fans went on and I could hear the liquid moving through the unit).
When I booted up the computer, the red CPU LED light went on to my motherboard. I could already feel the grief coming. After looking around, I couldn't really find someone with my specific problem, but someone mentioned that the BIOS might not be up to date, causing the liquid system to be incompatible. All that aside, I just installed my original setup with the old heatsink, and the red light came on still! I know this redlight means that something is up with the motherboard setup, but I have no idea what to do. The computer turns on fine, all fans work, and I virtually can see no problem. I switched out the RAM to see if that would help-- no dice.

Did I fry this motherboard somehow? I have no idea what to do. Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

*UPDATE*

I decided to swap in an old Phenom II processor that I forgot I still had, and- sure enough- the computer booted and everything. Therefore, my processor somehow fried when I was installing my cooling system.

I have no idea how. When I was putting the cooling module on the CPU, I had a little trouble because I put the fans on upside down-- I was moving the cooler over the CPU while I was trying to get it screwed in. I flipped the fans over, and then I got in on with no problem. I don't know really how I could've damage the processor, but I did evidently.
